Why was one of the results of The World Happiness Report 2024 considered a surprise by the author?

Luxembourg dropped two places when compared to the 2022 list and that was unexpected.

The author is amazed that Finland has held the first position for the seventh consecutive time.

It is surprising that Israel ranked fifth because the country is facing many diplomatic issues. Besides that, it is not in Europe, as most of the other top 10.

Developed nations such as the US and the UK are expected to be among the top 10, but the US did not even make the top 20.

Although Iceland is an island with a small population, it ranked third for the second consecutive time.
